We are looking for a Team Lead SA LCS Backoffice Western Europe to lead and develop our regional Lifecycles Services internal teams, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused quotation and order handling across multiple subsidiaries in Western Europe. This role offers the opportunity to influence operational performance, drive process improvement, and build strong collaboration across an international business environment.
As a key link between Sales Coordinators, Field Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Order Management, and other technical functions, you will play a pivotal role in delivering operational excellence and supporting our Lifecycle Services (LCS) business.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop Sales Coordinator teams across multiple Western European subsidiaries, creating a culture of ownership, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide operational leadership, performance management, and escalation support for Backoffice activities related to quotations, and order handling
. - Ensure global and regional Backoffice processes, procedures, quality standards, and compliance requirements are consistently applied and followed.
- Monitor team performance through KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and quality
. - Manage team resources, capacity planning, workload distribution, training, onboarding, and knowledge sharing to maintain a consistent level of competence across the region.
- Coordinate training, onboarding, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing activities, ensuring a consistent level of professional, technical, and process competence across the team.
- Support employee development through regular coaching, performance reviews, competency development plans, and succession planning.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Order Management, and other key stakeholders to support business objectives and resolve operational challenges.
- Act as the first point of escalation for urgent requests, process issues, and customer-related matters, supporting timely and effective resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, promote best practice across subsidiaries, and support the implementation of new processes and governance requirements.
- Provide management with clear operational insights and recommendations to strengthen transparency, process stability, workload balance, and overall Backoffice performance.
Your Profile You contribute
- Completed vocational education, ideally supported by further professional qualifications, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years' experience in Sales Coordination, Backoffice Operations, Order Management, Customer Service, or a similar operational support environment.
- Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, or coordinating teams is desirable.
- Experience within Lifecycle Services (LCS), spare parts, retrofits, industrial services, or technical customer support environments is advantageous.
- Experience working within an international matrix organisation is beneficial.
- Fluent English, written and spoken; additional European languages are an advantage.
- Strong customer and sales orientation with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using KPIs, dashboards, and performance data to support decision-making.
- Advanced MS Office skills and good SAP knowledge; Salesforce or other CRM experience is an advantage.
- Ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and create alignment across teams, functions, and countries.
- Technical understanding of LCS products, retrofits, spare parts, or related service processes is advantageous.
