As  the PT Sales Manager (Sub-Saharan Africa), based in Africa, you will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth of Krones’ Process Technology (PT) portfolio across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. It focuses on identifying, developing, and converting PT business opportunities in close collaboration with Field Sales teams, regional Krones entities, and internal PT organizations. The position places an initial emphasis on Krones’ core beverage-sector solutions, while progressively expanding PT penetration across the wider customer base and supporting long-term regional growth.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive order intake targets for the full scope of Krones Process Technology (PT) portfolio across the assigned Sub Saharan Africa markets in collaboration with regional field sales teams, with the detailed country scope defined based on regional priorities. 
  • Place a strong emphasis on promoting PT solutions and units in close collaboration with Field Sales teams and BPE projects, ensuring early PT involvement and integrated solution positioning. 
  • Develop and execute stand alone PT projects within the assigned territory, progressively building a sustainable and independent PT pipeline alongside project-linked opportunities. 
  • Strategically build and expand an independent PT customer base across Sub Saharan Africa, increasing PT stand alone sales while strengthening long-term customer relationships. 
  • Maintain a primary focus on the beverage sector, initially concentrating on Krones’ core strengths, including beverage production solutions (syrup rooms), water treatment units, and thermal product treatment units. 
  • Selectively pursue PT opportunities in adjacent market segments relevant to Sub Saharan Africa, such as dairy, alcoholic beverages, high viscosity food, and home and personal care (HPC). 
  • Establish and strengthen a structured PT sales and partner network across Sub Saharan Africa, working with strategic partners and selected local distributors to expand market reach and execution capabilities. 
  • Ensure close cooperation with regional Krones entities to align market activities, customer engagement, and opportunity development. 
  • Collaborate closely with PT MEA and Krones Processing India organizations to develop customer specific technical solutions, concepts, and proposals, ensuring alignment between sales strategy and technical execution. 
  • Demonstrate high geographic flexibility and regional mobility, supporting customers, partners, and project development across multiple Sub Saharan markets. 
  • Work in close coordination with internal stakeholders, including teams based in UAE, KPIN, and NTR, to ensure consistency in PT strategy, opportunity management, and project delivery.

 

Your ProfileYou contribute

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of technical sales experience, preferably in beverage, dairy, liquid food, or industrial processing equipment, including PT Units such as water treatment and thermal processing systems.
  • Completed undergraduate degree in Business/Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • >60% Travel required.
  • Highly proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strategic thinking
  • Experience working in matrix organization and across multiple regions in MEA.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to structure complex deals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and hands-on experience with CRM systems.
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
