- Research & Development Leadership
Lead the development of new processing technologies and optimize existing equipment to improve efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies, conducting feasibility studies, and implementing advanced solutions for food and beverage process plants.
Oversee pilot testing and validation of new processes before full-scale implementation. - Technical Mentorship & Team Development
Act as a subject matter expert, mentoring junior engineers, technical staff, and project managers to build technical competency and leadership skills.
Develop structured training programs and knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure continuous professional growth within the team. - Project & Resource Management
Secure and allocate resources effectively, using formal project management tools to manage budgets, timelines, risks, and change requests.
Ensure subcontractors and vendors adhere strictly to design specifications and quality standards during plant assembly and installation. - Compliance & Standards Enforcement
Implement and enforce global technical standards (ATEX, US/Canada, Hygienic Design, EU) across all projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international codes and certifications relevant to process engineering and plant design. - Strategic Planning & Supplier Management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Krones AG PM, Technical Department, etc.) to develop strategic project plans aligned with organizational goals.
Lead supplier selection and qualification processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, reliability, and adherence to technical specifications. - Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization
Champion continuous improvement initiatives across commercial, technical, and quality domains.
Initiate, plan, and implement cost-saving projects without compromising quality or safety standards. - Procurement & Financial Coordination
Manage purchasing of components, units, machines, and services across national, regional, and global markets.
Liaise with finance teams for timely processing of supplier payments and maintain full cost control over local purchasing activities. - Technical Documentation & Engineering Design
Prepare and review detailed engineering documents, including:
Mass Balance, Process Time Schedule, Utility Histograms for capacity optimization.
Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Equipment Layouts, Instrumentation Drawings for techno-commercial offers and detailed engineering.
Develop technical specifications and deviation lists for client approval. - Site Coordination & Execution
Mobilize site resources, coordinate with execution teams, and provide technical guidance during erection, installation, piping, and integration of equipment.
Monitor site activities, conduct frequent visits, and oversee commissioning, product trials, and transition to commercial production. - Project Delivery & Risk Management
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Handle complaints, defect notifications, and claims management professionally and promptly. - Financial Tracking & Documentation
Track project progress and financial aspects, including invoicing, fund flow, cash recovery, and EPCG documentation preparation. - Innovation & Sustainability
Integrate sustainability principles into process design and equipment development to reduce environmental impact and energy consumption.
Explore automation and digitalization opportunities (IoT, AI-driven analytics) to enhance plant efficiency and predictive maintenance. - Stakeholder Coordination
Maintain strong communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, design teams, electrical, and all other relevant internal stakeholders.
Your Profile You contribute
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
- Project management or equivalent; PMP certification preferred
- Proven working experience of 5 to 7 years in Project Management and Engineering
- Knowledge of standards and concepts of quality assurance (ATEX, Hygenic Design, HACCP etc.)
- Excellent client-facing and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management, communication, and negotiation skills
- Skilled AutoCAD knowledge to prepare P&IDs and Layouts
- Willingness to travel
